Houston, TX (September 17, 2014) – On the heels of her first boutique opening in the Dallas metropolitan area at Southlake Town Square, Designer Elaine Turner announces that the pink doors will open to her ninth retail store at The Shops at Legacy in Plano, Texas in November 2014, featuring handbags, shoes, jewelry and apparel.
After opening two stores near her brand’s headquarters in Houston, one in The Woodlands, San Antonio, Nashville, and last year in New York City on Madison Avenue, Turner is staying close to her roots this Fall to offer her mix of contemporary classics, accessible luxury and “Texas-Glam” experience to the fashion savvy Dallas shopper.
“I was raised in Houston and Texas holds a very special place in my heart. I am particularly sentimental about Dallas so to open not only one, but two stores this Fall is exciting for me personally and for the brand,” Turner states. “My first job after college was in Dallas and it was during those transformative years that I discovered my true passion - to create my own brand and become an entrepreneur. I’ve never wavered from my dream and feel extremely grateful to have the opportunity to grow my business in Dallas.” Turner said.
After graduating from The University of Texas, Elaine gained fashion experience at a small brand in Dallas. Upon quickly being promoted to head designer she discovered her passion for building a business from the ground up. Shortly thereafter she made the leap to New York City where she met her husband Jim Turner. The two returned to Houston, launched the company in April 2000, and have been proud to keep the business grounded in their Southern ideals of quality, service and community involvement.
Elaine is passionate about her recent expansion in the Lone Star state. Her brand is built on the ideas of feeling glamorous, giving, intimate and fun. She enthusiastically states, “We take pride in our Texas, down-to-earth roots and are eager for our customers to experience and embrace our friendly, warm, fun and glamorous environment. Ultimately, if you walk out of one of our stores feeling beautiful and fulfilled both inside and out, then I feel like we have done our job.”
The boutique will feature the glamorous interiors Turner is known for such as her signature pink sofas, raffia wrapped walls, bamboo floors and cowhide rugs. To showcase the brand’s latest product category, the store will feature a custom-designed jewelry vignette to convey a charming vanity space. An intimate wardrobe room and selection of fellow Texan designers’ jewelry, plus home furnishings and apparel by Elaine Turner and other brands, all curated by Elaine, highlight the store.
Elaine Turner Legacy will be neighbored by fitness apparel brand Lululemon and fellow Texan jeweler Kendra Scott. Turner hopes that The Shops at Legacy’s affluent and fashion conscious consumer will bring much business and awareness to the Elaine Turner lifestyle.
Elaine was honored in Forbes’ Top 40 Tastemakers of 2013 and was a finalist for the 2011 Texas Business Woman of the Year Award. Most recently, Elaine Turner was crowned the winner of the 2014 “Stars of Design” award given by the Decorative Center of Houston, where the company is headquartered.
As with all the Elaine Turner boutiques, the new location will host cocktail parties and charity fundraisers, since having fun and giving back to the community is Elaine’s passion and an essential part of the company’s DNA. Additional retail locations in Texas, including a third location in Houston are planned for late 2014.
Elaine Turner Legacy is located at 5700 Legacy Drive, Suite C3, Plano, Texas, 75024.
